Mike Sekine is an artist and designer from Japan whose work explores expressive, unconventional ways of producing voice and listening to sound through self-made instruments, performances, and installations.
She is interested in both software and physical sound modulation. She manipulates audio and speech mostly using plugdata and experiments with different materials to seek new mediums and apparatuses.
She is currently based in Essen, Germany, and studies at Folkwang University of the Arts. She takes different cultures and environments as ingredients and cooks these experiences into motivation and concepts through her crafts and programs.
